Biography
After his naval service he worked with a shipping company in India and Burma 1946-57. Later he became the operator of the Dairy Queen in Parksville BC.

He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RAFVR (With seniority dated 01/11/1941). He served in the Aircrew Receiving Centre London Zoo 1941. He served in RAF Brighton for Basic Training. He served in RAF Stratford-on-Avon for Basic Training. He served in RAF Desford for EFTS. He served in USNAS Grosse Ile MI for Pilot Training 1942. He served in USNAS Pensacola 1942. (Awarded Wings 31/03/1943). (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RAFVR (With seniority dated 31/03/1943). He served in RCAF Charlottetown for GR Course 1943. He served in RAF Little Rissington 1944. He served in RAF Chivenor (N Devon) for 612 RAF Squadron 1944. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RAFVR 1944. (Transferred to RNVR 01/02/1945).
