He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) (SB) RCNVR (With seniority dated 28/02/1944). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) (SB) RCNVR. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #51 Pilot Training Course. He served in USNAS Grosse Isle for Training. He served in USNAS Pensacola for Training. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SB) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 28/02/1944) (With seniority later backdated 24/05/1943). He served in H.M.S. Formidable for 1842 Squadron as Pilot 1944. He was killed when his plane crashed into the sea (lack of fuel) while returning from a raid at Onagawa Bay Japan 09/08/1945. |
