Military Service

He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 20/02/1940). (Mobilized for World War Two service 28/02/1940). He served in HMCS Stone Frigate (Second Course) for Training 1940. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 20/02/1940) (Later backdated to 1939). He served in HMCS St. Boniface. In 1944 he served in HMCS Somers Isles. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in HMCS Hallowell (In command) 1944. (He was demobilized.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate). (He was qualified for navigation duties.)
