Military Service

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 27/04/1942). He served in Royal Roads 1942. He served in HMCS Niobe on Loan to the Royal Navy. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR 1944. In 1944 he served in HMCS Stadacona. He served as a Beach Master W-3 RCN Beach Commando "W" in Operation Neptune 1944. (He was present at the D-Day landings). He served in HMCS Smiths Falls 1944. He served in HMCS Tillsonburg (In command) 1945. (He was demobilized.)
