Biography

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Lieutenant in the Canadian Militia in 1913. He served in HMCS Niobe for training 17/12/1915 to 27/01/1916. He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 03/02/1916). He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served in 1 (Naval) Squadron RNAS in 1916. On 20/09/1917 he was wounded in the foot during operations in France and was hospitalized. He was assigned to the Defence Flight of 251 Squadron at Dover Aeroplane Station in 08/04/1918. (He was demobilized.)
