Military Service
He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (A) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/10/1943). He served in NSHQ on Staff of Director Naval Air Division 1944. He was appointed as an A/Commander (A) (Temp.) (WHA) RCNVR 1944. He served in NSHQ as Director of Naval Air Division 1944, (He was demobilized). (Short Service Appointment 15/09/1947). He was appointed as a Commander (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 11/04/1946)). He served in NHQ as Deputy Director Naval Aviation (Organization and Training) 1948. (Short service appointment scheduled to terminate 14/09/1952.) He was awarded the OBE "Commander Arbick joined the Naval Service in October 1943 when his four years' flying service in the Royal Canadian Air Force was terminated as a result of a serious accident. With a true sense of patriotism, he spared no effort in promoting the development of an air branch in the Royal Canadian Navy. As Director of Naval Air Division, this Officer's loyalty, energy, keenness and foresight have been an inspiration to those who have served with him."
