He was awarded the MBE "During a fire in HMCS Arras, Mate Arsenault, unheeding of his own safety, stood by his job and rendered all assistance possible in getting his ship, which was blazing furiously, away from the burning jetty. As a result, he suffered burns about the face and hands and throughout the entire action set a splendid example to the men working with him." |
