He was appointed as a Skipper (Temp.) RCNR (With seniority dated 15/08/1941). He served in HMCS Arras (In command) 1941. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNR. He served in HMCS Protector for HMCS Arras (in command) 1941 and 1945. (He was demobilized.)
