Military Service

He was appointed as a Constable RCMP. He served in the RCMP Marine Division and Customs Service before World War Two. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNR (With seniority dated 11/10/1939). (He was mobilized for World War Two service). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNR (With seniority dated 11/10/1939) (Later backdated to 1938). He served in HMCS Macdonald (In command) 1939-1942. He served in HMCS Courtenay (In command) 1942. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR 1944. In 1944 he served in HMCS Courtenay. (He was demobilized.)
