Military Service
He 1987-1991 he served in Royal Military College of Canada as an Officer Cadet (ROTP). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (With seniority dated 01/05/1992). In 1992 he served in HMCS Mackenzie and HMCS Yukon and qualifed as a bridge watch-keeper specializing in navigation. In 1994 he completed the Destroyer Navigating Officer course. In 1994 he was promoted to Lieutenant (N) (CF) (With seniority dated 01/01/1994). In 1994 -1998 he served in HMCS Cowichan and HMCS Regina as Navigating Officer. In 1998 he served in CFB Halifax for the Operations Room Officer Course. In 199 he served in HMCS Calgary as Weapons Officer and Combat Officer. In 1999 he was promoted to Lieutenant-Commander (CF) (With seniority dated 01/01/1999). In 2001-2003 he served as the Combat Officer of Sea Training Pacific. He was selected to attend the Canadian Forces Command and Staff College in Toronto in the summer of 2003. In 2004 he was appointed to the Directorate of Maritime Strategy at NDHQ Ottawa. He was promoted to Commander (CF) With seniority dated 01/01/2005). In 2005 he served in HMCS Preserver as Executive Officer. He served HMCS Fredericton (In command) 20 June 2007 - January 2009. In 2009 he attended the Naval Command College at the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. He was promoted to Captain (RCN) (With seniority dated 01/01/2010). In 2010 he was appointed as Director Defence Force Planning for the Chief of Programme at NDHQ. In 2012 he was appointed as Base Commander of CFB Esquimalt. He was promoted to Commodore (RCN) (seniority 30/06/2013). In 2013 he was appointed as Commander Canadian Fleet Pacific. He served as Director General Plans Strategic Staff. He was appointed as Rear-Admiral RCN (With seniority dated 30/06/2016). In 2016 he was appointed as Deputy Commander Canadian Joint Operations Command, Ottawa ON. In 2018 he was appointed Commander Maritime Forces Pacific/Joint Task Force (Pacific), in Esquimalt BC. He was appointed as a Vice-Admiral RCN. In 2022 he served as Commander Canadian Joint Operations Command.
