Biography
After his naval service he worked in automobile sales.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR 1940. He was appointed to H.M.S. Raleigh (Officer Training Establishment) (Mess 16) in 1940. He was appointed to H.M.S. Repulse for Sea Training 1940. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred (Officer Training Establishment). (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in HMCS Fort William for Coastal Forces Training. He served in HMC MTB-50 (In command) 1942. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 30/12/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). He served in the 17th MTB Flotilla 1943. He served in HMS Breganza 1943. He served in H.M.S. Thynic as First Lieutenant 1945. (He was demobilized 01/05/1945.) He was promoted to Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) on the retired list.
