Military Service

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR (With seniority dated 11/09/1940). He served in the Winnipeg Division RCNVR 1940. He served in HMCS Stadacona 1940. He served in H.M.S. Raleigh (Officer Training Establishment) 1940. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred (Officer Training Establishment). (CFR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR 22/05/1941 (With seniority dated 31/12/1940). He served in H.M.S. President for Duty With DEMS (AIR) 1941, SS Empire for DEMS 1941. (He was reported missing when the SS Empire was sunk by enemy action on 01/10/1941.)
