Biography
After his naval service he joined the Public Service in NDHQ in 1982. He was the Senior Analyst in Directorate of Information Management Policy and Architecture in 1994. (He retired again on 26/07/1995.)

 

Military Service

(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 16/10/1952). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for #4 Junior Air Officer Basic Training Course 1952. He served in HMCS Ontario for Sea Training 1953. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 06/11/1953). He served in RCAF Centralia for Basic Air Training 1953. He served in RNAS Culdrose for Operational Training 1954. He served in RNAS Eglinton for Flying Training 1954. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 06/11/1954). He served in HMCS Shearwater. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 21/01/1956). He served in HMCS Shearwater For Duty With VS-881 Squadron 1956. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Magnificent for VS-881 Squadron 1955. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN 1956, (Selected for permanent commission 1956). He served in RCAF Namao for VX-10 Squadron for Tracker Winter Trials 1957. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-881 Squadron 1958, Qualified as Unit Instrument check Pilot 1958. He served in the Transport Canada Toronto for Air Traffic Controllers Course 1959. He served in HMCS Shearwater for Flying Control Duties 1959. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VX-10 Squadron 1961. He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Bridge and Operations Room Watchkeeper 1964. (He was qualified with Watchkeeping certificate.) He served in HMCS Naden for VU-33 Squadron as Executive officer 1965. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1966). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron 1967, CFB Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1969. He served in CFB Montreal for Canadian Forces Management School in Computer Programming Course 1971. He served in NDHQ for Information Handling Agency 1971. He was seconded to Environment Canada as Deputy Manager Environmental Emergency Centre 1978-79. He served in NDHQ for Directorate of Information Systems Plans 1979. (He retired on 01/03/1982.)
