Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Airman 2/c RNVR. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for Pilot Course #45. He served in USNAS Grosse Ile for Training. He served in USNAS Pensacola for Training. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. (Transferred to RCNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/04/1944). In 1944 he served with the Royal Navy. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in H.M.S. Indomitable for 857 Squadron 1944.

Anecdotes
He was killed in action in Operation Iceberg in operations against Sakashima, Gunto and Formosa on 16/04/1945. His aircraft was hit by flak over Higna airfield, Sakishima Gunto and crashed.
