Biography
After his naval service he was a Director of the Bramalea Group and a Consultant on the Tigerfish Torpedo project.
 
Military Service
He was employed in HMS Chatham Dockyard for Admiralty Service 01/08/1923. He attended the Royal Naval College Greenwich for Special Training in 1927. He joined the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors on 01/09/1931 as Assistant Constructor with seniority dated 01/09/1931. He served in Portsmouth Dockyard, Admiralty for Duty in Naval Construction Department (He worked on the design of sloops and Bangor Class Minesweepers) 1934. He served in HM Dockyard Sheerness 1937. He was appointed as a Constructor 1939-42. He served as A/Chief Constructor and Superintendent of Landing Craft 1941, (On Loan to the RCN from the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors 1948). He served in NHQ on Civilian Technical Staff as Constructor-in-Chief 1950-8, (Commissioned in RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Constructor Captain RCN(R) (With seniority dated 09/11/1942). He was appointed as a Constructor Commodore RCN(R) c1956. (He returned to the Royal Corps of Naval Constructors in 1958.) In 1958-63 he was appointed to the Admiralty as Technical Chief Executive of the Dreadnought Nuclear Submarine Project. He was the Technical Director of the Polaris Executive 1963-68. (He was retired in 1968.)
