His home was in Montreal QC where he worked as a draughtsman at the time of his recruitment.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (Appointed 1915) (With seniority dated 03/02/1916) in Ottawa ON He was unable to enter any flying schools in Canada.He served in HMCS Niobe 02/12/1915). He served in RNAS Redcar (under instruction), 18/06/1916). He served in RNAS Westgate 28/03/1917. He served in #2 Wing, 18/06/1917. He served in HMS Ark Royal 18/09/1917). He served in #2 Wing in Marsh aerodrome 18/12/1917. He served in the Aegean Group (Stavros) 18/09/1918- 18/12/1918. (He was demobilized.)
