Biography
His home was in Stratford, Ontario at the time of his recruitment. He was a student at Lakefield School.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (Canadian Marine Service) 1908. He served in CGS Canada for Sea Training 1908. He transferred to the Canadian Naval Force in 1910. He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (Canadian Naval Force) (Appointed 16/12/1910) (With seniority dated 21/10/1910). He was appointed as a Midshipman (Canadian Naval Force) (With seniority dated 21/10/1910). He served in HMCS Niobe for Training 1910. He served in H.M.S. Dreadnought for Training 1911. (He received a medical discharge from RCN 03/12/1912). (He transferred to the RN as a Midshipman RN (Appointed 20/08/1914) (With seniority dated 15/05/1913). He served in H.M.S. King George V for Sea Training 1914. (He transferred to RNAS 1915. "Barron was one of 20 acting Sub-Lieutenant, RN, who were lent from the RN to the RNAS for special service in March 1915. (He was mobilized for Second World War Service - he may have been a civillian instructor.) He served in RCAF Mount Hope for #10 EFTS as Chief Ground Instructor 1940. He served in RCAF Rivers (MB) for Air Navigation Course 1942.
