Biography
After his naval service he taught english to foreign officers in England. Retired again 1992.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Gunner in the Royal Canadian Regiment of Artillery (With seniority dated 01/12/1941). He served in Basic Training at Vernon BC 1941. He served in Electronic Fire Control Course at Royal Canadian School of Signals in Barriefield ON 1941. Guildford UK as Assistant Instructor in Artillery 1942. He was appointed as a Lance Bomabardier. He was appointed as a Lance Sergeant. He served in the 148 Brigade (British Army) 1944. He served in Aldershot for 161 (RMC) Officer Cadet Training Unit. (CFR). He was appointed as a Second Lieutenant in the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada 1945. He served in Camp Aldershot for Infantry Training Battalion. He served in 3rd Canadian Infantry Division in Wilhelmshaven Germany. He served in Prince Albert SK as Militia Training Officer 1945. (Selected for permanent commission 01/10/1946). He served in CJATC Rivers for Flying Training. (On assignment with Royal Canadian Navy). He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure as Carrier Borne Air Liaison Officer 1950-2. Transferred to Black Watch. Army Staff Course 1956. St. John's 1959. He served in Canadian Joint Staff (London) 1961-64. He served in Vancouver as Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General 1964-66. He served in CFHQ in Directorate of Operations 1966-1968. He served in UNTSO (Palestine) 1968-9. He served in the BC Area HQ 1970-2. (He was retired 23/05/1973.)
