Biography
After his naval service he worked with Thomson CSF as Provisioning Support Supervisor for the Maritime Coastal Defence Vessel 1992-95. He worked with Lockheed Martin Canada as Integrated Logistics Support Specialist 1996-2005. He worked with Calian as Integrated Logistics Support Specialist 2007. He worked with Altis SPR as Integrated Logistics Support Specialist 2009. He worked with Dynamic Personnel as Integrated Logistics Support Specialist 2009-2010. (He was retired again 2010). He earned a Diploma in Engineering (12 May 1980) and Bachelor of Science (14 November 1980) from Saint Mary's University and a Masters Degree in Education (11 May 1984) from Mount Saint Vincent University.
 
Military Service
He served as an Army Cadet in the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa 1951. He served as a Private in the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa (Reserves) 1955-56. (He transferred to the RCN). He joined as an Ordinary Seaman RCN (9 August 1956). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for New Entry Training 1956. He was promoted to Ordinary Seaman Electrician's Mate Standard RCN (1 January 1957). He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Electrician's Mate for Heavy Electrical Shop and then in Light Electrical and Battery Shop 1957. He was promoted to Able Seaman Electrician's Mate (Trade Group 1) RCN (9 November 1957). He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Electrician's Mate in Avionics Shop 1957. He served in HMCS Stadacona for Trade Group 2 and 3 Radio Tech Course 1958. He was promoted to Able Seaman Radio Technician (Trade Group 2) RCN (9 May 1959). He served in HMCS Victoriaville as Radio Technician 1959. He was promoted to Leading Seaman Radio Technician (Trade Group 2) RCN (1 December 1959). He was qualified both as a Maritime Combat Systems Engineer (44C) and a Maritime Surface and Subsurface officer (71A) and had a Bridge Watchkeeping Certificate. He was qualified for electrical duties.
