Biography
After his naval service he joined Fairey Canada as Test Pilot 01/06/1967. Hauldown Manager 01/10/1967,. J.B. Fraser Perrsonnel 1968. Helicopter pilot Canadian Rockies 1969. Production Manager in automobile parts business 1969-70. Federal Civil Service as Personnel Manager 1970-1973. Merchant Service Union as Bargaining Agent and Secretary Treasurer 1973-1984. Produced and edited the Newsletter of Canadian Naval Aviators and Associates for twenty years after his retirement.
 
Military Service
He joined the RCAF on 01/12/1942. He was Awarded Wings 01/02/1944. He served in Pilot Training. He served as a Flying Instructor 1944-45, (Transferred to RNVR), He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/03/1944). He served in H.M.S. Macaw (Bootle) for Training. He served in H.M.S. Jackdaw (East Haven) for Training. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/03/1944). He served in H.M.S. Pintail (Peplow). He served in H.M.S. Dipper (Henstredge). He served in H.M.S. Shrike (Maydown). He served in H.M.S. Raven (Eglinton). He served in H.M.S. Condor (Arbroath). He served in H.M.S. Flycatcher (Nutts Corner NI). He served in H.M.S. Landrail (Machrihanish), (Transferred to RCN), He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN (With seniority dated 24/08/1945). He served in HMCS Charlottetown for Watchkeeping Training 1946. He served in RCN Barracks Halifax for RCN Air Section (Dartmouth) for 18th Carrier Air Group as pilot in 883 Squadron 1947. He served in HMCS Shearwater for 743 Squadron 1949. He served in NHQ as Assistant Staff Officer Air Personnel 1949. He served in HMCS Stadacona for Junior Officers' Technical and Leadership Courses 1952. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN 24/08/1953). He served in HMCS Niagara for Helicopter Training USNAS Pensacola and for Duty at USNAS Lakehurst and USS Siboney (US 6th Fleet) 1953. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VH-21 Squadron as Senior Pilot 1954. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Commanding Officer HU-21 Squadron 1956. He served in HMCS Magnificent for Duties with UN 1956. He served in NHQ as Officer in Immediate Command of Naval Personnel on Detached Duty at Royal Military College of Canada 1957. He served in HMCS Micmac as Executive Officer 1959. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Lieutenant-Commander (Operations) 1961. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Depot as Drafting Officer 1964. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Station Test Pilot 1966. (He was retired 01/05/1967). (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
