Biography
After his naval service he joined the Department of External Affairs, retiring secondly 01/10/1985.

He was appointed as a Boy Signalman RCN (With seniority dated 15/07/1941). He served in HMCS Naden for Boy's Training Establishment 1941. He served in HMCS Comber. He served in HMCS Prince Henry. He served in HMCS Miramichi. He served in HMCS Uganda. (CFR. He served in the Royal Navy Upper Yardman's College) 1946. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN 01/09/1946, RN For Sub-Lieutenant's Courses 1946. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1946), Pilot Flying Training 1948-50. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN (With seniority dated 16/05/1948). He served in HMCS Magnificent For Duty With VF-871 Squadron 1950. He served in HMCS Star as Staff Officer (Administration) 1953. He served in HMCS Quebec 1955. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 16/05/1956). He served in HMCS Ottawa 1956. He served in HMCS Assiniboine as Executive Officer 1958. He was seconded to the Department of External Affairs for Duty With Canadian Delegation to NATO (Brussels) 1972. (He was retired 15/11/1975.)
