Biography
After his naval service he went into the Ontario Department of Tourism. He created the mythical character 'Joe Mufferaw' and was the official storyteller and 'ambassador' of the Ottawa Valley.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Airman 2/c (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/10/1943). He served in H.M.S. Seaborne 1943. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent 1944. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #63 Pilot Training Course 1944, A/Leading Naval Airman RNVR 01/07/1944. He served in RCAF St. Eugene for #13 Elementary Flying Training School 1944. He served in RCAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School 1944. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent 1945, (Transferred to RCNVR). He served in HMCS Stadacona 1945. (He was demobilized after hospitalization 19/07/1945.)
