His next-of-kin, was his mother, Mrs. Ann Bentley, 16 Denton Street, Liverpool, England.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RNCVR. He was appointed as an Able-Seaman RNCVR. He was appointed as a Leading Seaman RNCVR. He served in HMCS Galiano 1918. (He was lost in HMCS Galiano in a storm off Vancouver Island BC October 30, 1918).
