Biography
His home was in Dunnville, Ontario where he was a student at the time of his recruitment. After his naval service he was qualified as a dentist at the University of Toronto.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 19/04/1917) in Ottawa ON. He served in RNAS Cranwell 18/09/1917. He served in RNAS Eastchurch as an Observer under instruction 18/12/1917. He served in RNAS Yarmouth. He served in Bulgaria 02/1918. He undertook sea patrols in Mudros-Dardenelles and Aegean. He served in south Russia where he was injured 28/06/1918 flying from Talikna and the Gulf of Xeros. He served in the Caspian region 28/06/1919. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross "For bombing raid on on Russian flotilla at Alexandrovsk on 21 May 1919."
