He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 24/04/1940). (Mobilized for World War Two service 24/04/1940). He served in HMCS Brunswicker 1940. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred (Officer Trainining Establishment) 1940. He served in the Combined Operations Training School (Hayling Island and Whale Island) 1940. He served in H.M.S. Glenroy (Loch Fine for Commando Training) 1940. He served in H.M.S. Stag (Eastern Mediteranean in support of 8th Army) 1940. He served in H.M.S. Glengyle (Landing Ship) (Port Said Egypt) 1941. He was appointed as Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/04/1942). He served in HM LCT-112 (In command) as Alexandria Egypt 1942. He served in HMCS Stadacona for Minesweeping Course 1942. He served in HMCS Captor (II) as Area Minesweeping Officer (Bay of Fundy) 1943. (He was demobilized 1945). He was appointed as Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) 1952. He served in HMCS Brunswicker as Executive Officer 1952. He was appointed as an AdC(P). He was appointed as an A/Commander (WHA) 1958 RCN(R). He was appointed as a Commander RCN(R)(With seniority dated 01/1961). He served in HMCS Brunswicker as Commanding Officer 1958-1962. (He was released.)
