He was living in Edmonton AB at the time of his recruitment.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1948). (He had Second World War Service) He served in HMCS Nonsuch for UNTD 1948. (Transferred to RCN) He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 15/05/1951). He was appointed as Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 15/05/1952). He served in HMCS Magnificent. He was appointed as Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 12/04/1953). He served in HMCS Athabaskan 1953-1954. In 1953 he was attached to HMCS Niagara. In 1953 he served in HMCS Gatineau. He was appointed as Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 16/04/1961). In 1961 he served in HMCS Stadacona. (He was released.) (He was qualified for communications duties.)
