Biography
He arrived at Fort Victoria in HM Paddle Sloop Driver from Panama on 10/03/1850. He read himself into office on 11/03/1850 as the Governor of the Crown Colony of Vancouver Island and Commander-in-Chief and Vice-Admiral of Vancouver Island serving 1850-1851.
