Military Service

He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF. He served in the Pilot Training Course #100. He served in #17 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in #16 Service Flying Training School. He was Awarded Wings, (Transferred to RNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) RNVR 1945. He served in RNAS Arbroath for 883 Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Nutts Corner 1945. He served in #743 RN Squadron 1946. (He was demobilized in 1946) (Transferred to RCN(R)). He was appointed as Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 25/02/1946). He served in HMCS Scotian on Staff of University Naval Training Division 1948.(He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
