Biography
He was living in Toronto ON at the time of his recruitment. In 1947 he served as the Copy Editor for White Twist Magazine. He graduated from Victoria College, U of T, with a BA, in 1948
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR 1944. He served in HMCS York for UNTD 1944-1947. He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCN(R) 1946. He served in the Supply and Secretariat Course 1947. He served in HMCS Uganda for Sea Training 1947. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 06/02/1948). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 06/02/1950). (He was released.)

Anecdotes
He was a Charter Member of the UNTD Association of Upper Canada, when it formed in 1988, and was a member of the succeeding UNTDA right up until his passing.
