He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He was appointed as Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He was serving in #1(N) Wing. He was drowned in an accident while flying at Dover UK 18/10/1916 over the Western Front.
