Biography
Post Second World War he entered the University of Manitoba, most probably on a Veteran's Educational Grant. He graduated in Civil Engineering.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Telegraphist RCNVR. He served in HMCS Ste. Hyacinthe for Training. He served in HMCS New Liskeard. He served in HMCS St. Pierre. (He was demobilized). He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCN(R) 1946. He served in HMCS Chippawa for UNTD 1946-1947. (He was released.)

Bill Clearihue notes that "He appears to have left the UNTD prior to graduation as he does not appear in the '49 Navy List as a UNTD Cadet."
