Biography
He was the son of Peggy Brewin. He moved to Victoria BC. After his naval service he was a lawyer in 1973. He married Gretchen Brewin. He was elected as the NDP Member of Parliament for Victoria BC (He was first elected in the g.e. of 1988). He was the NDP Defence Critic and member of Standing Committee on National Defence and Veteran's Affairs. He practises law for the Toronto firm of Ryder Wright Blair and Holmes.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Instructor Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 02/01/1955). He served in HMCS York 1954-1955. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN 1957. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN 1958. (He was released.)
