Biography
After his naval service he worked as a stock broker with RBC Dominion Securities in Victoria BC 1973-1992.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1941). He served in H.M.S. Despatch (He was on Loan to the RN from the RCNVR) 1941. He served in HMCS Quinte as Engineer Officer 1941. He served in HMCS Clayoquot as Engineer Officer 1941. He served in HMCS Red Deer as Engineer Officer 1942. He was commissioned as Lieutenant (E) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/05/1943). He served in HMCS Stadacona as Engineer Officer and Manager of Engineer Officer Appointments 1943. He served in HMCS Stonetown as Engineer Officer 1944. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (E) (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (E) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/01/1945). He served in NHQ on staff of Naval Personnel Branch (Directorate of Naval Reserves) 1946, (Transferred to RCN) 1947. He served on Loan to Dominion of Canada Rifle Association as Commandant of Canadian Bisley Team 1963. He served in NDHQ as Director General Ships and Director General Maritime Systems 1964. He was appointed as a Commodore (E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/08/1965). He served in NDHQ as Director-General Maritime Systems. He was seconded to Defence Research Board as Deputy Head Defence Research Analysis Establishment as A/Chief. (He was retired on 01/04/1973.)
