He sailed deep sea until 1882 when he began steamboating in Puget Sound. (He was qualified as a Master Mariner #31374.) He was Master of the tug Albion. He was the Master of the Mermaid for the Northern Shipping Co. in 1884. He was Master of the Mamie. (He was qualified as a British Columbia Marine Pilot 13/03/1901.). In 1901 he served in the Port of Vancouver and Fraser River. |
