Biography
He was a graduate aeronautical engineer working at Fleet Aircraft Ltd. in Fort Erie ON. After his naval service he was the Powerplant Engineer in Gas Turbine Division of A.V. Roe Canada. This division became Orenda Engines Ltd. He was project manager of the Iroquois Jet Engine developed for the Avro Arrow. Later he was the Chief Engineer at Orenda Engines Ltd. Afterwards he was industrial development officer and foreign service officer with the Ontario Government and Ontario International Corporation.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/10/1943). He served in H.M.S. Canada 1943. He served in RCAF Aylmer for Service Flying Training School for Testing 1943. He served in H.M.S. Gosling for Officer Training 1943. He served in RNAS Worthy Down for RN School of Aircraft Maintenance for Engineering Qualification Course 1943. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/01/1944). He served in RNAS Evanton for RN Air Repair Yard Responsible for Readiness and Pre-Flight 1944. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR 1945. He served in RNAS Fearn as Air Engineering Officer for 825 RN Squadron 1945, (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (AE) RCN(R) 1945. He served in HMCS Niobe 1945. He served in RNAS Burcough for 825 Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Worthy Down for Firefly Refresher Course 1945. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for 825 Squadron 1946. He served in H.M.S. Warrior as Air Engineer Officer 1946. He served in HMCS Stadacona and HMCS Warrior for RCN Air Section Dartmouth for 825 Squadron 1946. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 05/11/1946). He served in HMCS Crescent for Engineroom Watchkeeping Training 1947. He served in HMCS Naden for Patricia Bay Airport 1947. (He resigned 01/02/1947.)
