Biography
He was the Assistant General Manager and Secretary of Great West Life Insurance Company 1945-1949. He was a Member of Board of Trustees of the Navy League of Canada.

He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNVR 1914. He served in the Auxiliary Patrol Organization. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 06/06/1917). (Transferred to the RCNVR 1921). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/06/1921). He was appointed as an Hon. AdC (P) to the Lieutenant-Governor of Manitoba 1921-1931. He served as Commanding Officer Winnipeg Company RCNVR 1923-1930. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/06/1929). He was appointed as a Commander (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/01/1931) (Promoted from the Lieutenant-Commanders List). He was appointed as an Hon. AdC to the Governor-General of Canada 1931-1939. He was appointed as a Commodore 2nd Class (Temp.) RCNVR 1944. He served in NSHQ as Director Women's Services 1944. He was appointed as a Commodore (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 25/05/1944). He served in HMCS Niobe as Commanding Officer 1944. (Appointment Terminated (Resignation Accepted) on 30/04/1945.) (He was qualified for navigation and with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
