Biography
He was an Honourary Trustee of the Maritime Museum of British Columbia. He was the Chairman of the Naval Review 1967-1978. He served as a Trustee of the National Maritime Museum (Greenwich UK) 1960-1974. He was the Vice-President of the Society for Nautical Research in 1970. He was a noted author of nautical history articles and books.
