He was appointed as a AC/2 RAF (With seniority dated 01/05/1936). He served in RAF Pilot Training Course. He served in RAF Upper Heyford for 240 RAF Squadron 1937. He served in RAF Upper Heyford for #218 RAF Squadron 1937, (Transferred to RNVR 1939). He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for 771 RN Squadron 1939. He served in RNAS Arbroath as Air Armament Officer 1940. He served in H.M.S. Hermes for 814 RN Squadron 1943. He was a Prisoner of War in a Japanese prison camp after being shot down and captured by a German raider. (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 14/01/1947). He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Air Section Dartmouth 1948. (He was released.) |
