(He was qualified as a Master Mariner (Coasting Trade #778). In 1859 he was appointed as a Marine Pilot by Governor James Douglas. He was declared competent for Victoria & Esquimalt. He was lost at sea when the pilot boat was wrecked 10/11/1860 in the breakers off MacAuley Point. |
