Biography
After his naval service he joined Sport Nova Scotia (Halifax NS) as Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Competitive Swimming) 1973-1977. he served as Chef de Mission for the Nova Scotia Swim Team at Canada Games, and as Team Manager for the Canadian National Swim Team at the Pan American Games in 1971. He was the Business Manager at the Nova Scotia School for Boys Shelburne NS 1980-82. He was the Business Manager of Nova Scotia Residential Centre Truro NS 1982-1994.

He was appointed as an OSNAS RCN (With seniority dated 01/11/1951). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for New Entry Training 1951. He was appointed as a ABAO1 RCN (With seniority dated 01/04/1952). He served in HMCS Shearwater for Air Weapons Section 1952. (Short Service Appointment 24/06/1953). He was appointed as a Midshipman (O) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/06/1953). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for #6 Junior Air Officer Basic Training Course 1953. He served in HMCS Ontario for Sea Training 1954. He served in HMCS Shearwater for #7 Observer's Course 1954. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/07/1954). He served in HMCS Niobe for RNAS Eglinton (H.M.S. Gannet) for ASW Training 1955. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/07/1954). He served in HMCS Magnificent for VS-881 Squadron 1956. He served in HMCS Shearwater for Tower Air Traffic Control Officer "A" Stand and Approach Control 1957. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/02/1957). (Selected for permanent commission). He served in HMCS Sioux as Operations Officer 1959. He served in HMCS Victoriaville as Operations Officer 1961. He served in HMCS Shelburne as Executive Officer 1963. He served in HMCS Shearwater for No.1 Tactical Coordinator Course 1967. He served in HMCS Bonaventure for HS-50 Squadron 1967. He served in VT-406 Squadron as Seaking Simulator TACO 1969. (He was retired 01/11/1973.)
