Biography
He was a miner at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Stoker RNCVR 1917. He had First World War service. He served in HMCS Shearwater. He served in HM CD-33. In 1918 he served in the Halifax Dockyard for the Machine Shop. (He was demobilized 03/1919.)
