Biography
He moved with his family to Vancouver BC where he was living at the time of his enlistment.
 
Military Service
In 1927 he enlisted in the RCAF and was trained at Camp Borden ON as a fitter and rigger. In 1929 he was part of the aircrew on Vickers Vedettes at Jericho Beach (near Vancouver), B.C. flying fisheries and anti-smuggling patrols. He was appointed as a Sergent Pilot RCAF. In 1936 he was commissioned into the RCAF as a Flying Officer. He was Squadron Commander of No. 8 SFTS at Moncton NB. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RCAF in 1941. In 1941 he was the Chief Instructor at No. 6 SFTS at RCAF Statio in Dunville ON. He was appointed as a Squadron Leader RCAF. In 1942 he was appointed to the RCAF Staff College. In 1943 he was promoted to Wing Commander RCAF. (He retired in 1959.)
