Biography
He shot down a JU-290 in the mid Atlantic while escorting a northbound convoy from Gibraltar. He shot down a JU-88 on a Murmansk convoy 1945.

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) RNZNVR 01/04/1942, RAF Hullavington for #9 AFU for Conversion Course 1942. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for 760 RN Squadron for Operational Training 1942. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for 761 RN Squadron 1942, RN College Greenwich 1942. He served in RNAS St. Merryn for 748 RN Squadron 1942. He served in H.M.S. Dasher for 804 (Hurricane) Squadron 1942, RAF Ouston for 804 RN Squadron 1943. He served in RNAS Twatt for 804 RN Squadron 1943. He served in RNAS Hatston for 804 RN Squadron 1943.
