Military Service

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR. He was appointed to H.M.S. Raleigh (Officer Training Establishment) (Mess 32) in 1941. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred (Officer Training Establishment). (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in HM MGB-101 in 1941. He served in HM MGB-14 as First Lieutenant 1941. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 17/09/1942). He served in HM MGB-17 (In command) in 1943. He served in HM MTB 442 (In command) in 1943. He served in HM MTB 439 (In command) in 1944. He served in HM MTB-461 (In command) 1944. He served in HMC MTB-491 (In command) 1945. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCNVR. (He was demobilized.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
