Biography
After his naval service he worked as a civil servant for 24 years in the BC Department of Corrections and Canada Department of Manpower & Immigration. His pen and ink drawings and maritime paintings are in several collections.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (Pilot) RAFVR 1948. (He was released 01/01/1953). (Transferred to RAF). He was appointed as an Officer Cadet RAF (With seniority dated 01/10/1953. He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RAF 1953. He served in RCAF Penhold for Training 1953. He served in RCAF Portage La Prairie for Training. He served in RAF Shawbury for Central Air Navigation School as Instructor. (He was released.) (Transferred to RCAF (Reserve) at Vancouver 1956-59). He was appointed as a Flying Officer RCAF (Reserve) 1956. (Transferred to RCN(R) 1958.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) 1958. He served in HMCS Malahat for VC-922 (Reserve) Squadron 1958. VU-33 Squadron for Training. He served in HMCS Saguenay. He served in HMCS Ottawa, (He was retired in 1960.)
