Biography
After his naval service he joined the Trade Commissioner Service (Department of Trade & Commerce) 1948. He served as Foreign Service Officer Cairo Egypt 1949-51, Karachi Pakistan 1951, Cairo Egypt 1951-52, New York City 1952-56, Sao Paulo Brazil 1956-59. He served as Director Latin America Division Department of Industry Trade and Commerce Ottawa 1959-60. Resigned 1960. Greenshields Inc. as Salesman and Director of Foreign Division 1960-66. He was President of Butterworth Dwyer McGregor & Co. Ltd. 1966-70.He served in the Department of Industry Trade and Commerce as Grain Marketing Office 1973-78. He was the Second Secretary (Commercial) Lusaka Zambia 1978-80. First Secretary (Commercial) Budapest Hungary 1980-82. He served as Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner Milan Italy 1982-84. Manager Information Export Department of External Affairs Ottawa 1984-86. He served in the Department of External Affairs as United States Trade and Investment Development Bureau 1986-87. (He retired in 1987.)
