He worked at the Bank of Ottawa in Vancouver BC and Toronto ON before the First World War. Afterwards he worked with the Bank of Montreal in Ottawa, New York, Orillia and Ottawa 1918-49. |

He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 30/12/1915). He served in Curtis Flying School Toronto for Flying Training. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS. He made his passage from Canada 1916. He served in RNAS Chingford for Training 1916. He served in RNAS Eastchurch for Gunnery School 1916. He served in Marston PA USA for No.3 Aeroplane Wing 1916. He served in RNAS Luxeuil for No. 3 Wing 1916. He was taken prisoner after gliding over German territory with engine off, having just been engaged by a German plane, the petrol tank and engine damaged 12/10/1916. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RNAS. He was repatriated 18/12/1918. He was appointed as a Captain RAF. (He was demobilized.) |
