Biography
After his naval service he joined Air Canada as pilot. He survived the loss of the port main tire and cocked nosewheel during a deck landing on Bonaventure 15/10/1965.

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (ROTP) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1959). He served in HMCS Prevost for ROTP at University of Western Ontario 1959. He served in HMCS Stettler for Sea Training 1960. He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1962). He served in RCAF Centralia for Primary Flight Training 1962. He served in RCAF Rivers for Advanced Flying School 1963. He was Awarded Wings 01/05/1964. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With senioriy dated 01/05/1963). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1963). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1963. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 as Operational Pilot 1964. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1966). (He was released 01/05/1967).
