Military Service
He was appointed as a Midshipman RN. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RN (Seconded to the RAF), RAF Hornchurch for #222 RAF Squadron 1940. He served in RAF North Weald for 46 RAF Squadron (for Battle of Britain service) 1940. Killed in action in the Battle of Britain 08/09/1940.

Anecdotes
He was living in Toronto ON at the time of his recruitment. He shot down two German aircraft in the Battle of Britain before dying of injuries received when he was shot down near Bearsted Kent.
