Biography
After his naval service he qualified as a Certified Management Accountant in 1986. He joined the Government of BC in Ministry of Finance as an accountant. Then joined Victoria Highway Maintenance Corp as Comptroller.

 

Military Service

(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 03/09/1958). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) for Training 1958. He served in RCAF Centralia for Flying Training 1960. He served in RCAF Penhold for Flying Training 1960. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for Flying Training 1961. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1961). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1961). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron for Advanced Flying Training 1961, (Selected for permanent commission). He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron as Operational Pilot 1965. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 16/07/1965). He served in RCAF Moose Jaw for T-33 Conversion Course 1966. He served in HMCS Naden for VU-33 Squadron 1966. He served in RCAF Summerside for #2 (M) OTU for P2V-7 Conversion and Maritime Operational Training Course 1967. He served in RCAF Greenwood for Argus Conversion Unit 1967. He served in CFB Summerside for VP-415 Squadron 1967. He served in CFB Greenwood for VP-449 OUT as Instructor 1971. He served in CFB Comox for VU-33 as Executive Officer 1973. He was appointed as a MAJ (PLT) (With seniority dated 01/01/1976). He served in CFB Shearwater as Base personnel Services Officer 1976. He served in CFB Toronto for Canadian Forces Staff College Course 1979. He served in CFB Esquimalt for MARPAC HQ as Senior Staff Officer Plans 1980. (He was retired 01/07/1986.)
